The Downtown Health Center (formerly the Lower East Side Health Center) has been serving Manhattan's Lower East Side since 1971. CHN is pleased to welcome former patients of Downtown Family Care Center to our new location.
The Downtown Health Center has become a community landmark as a principal provider of primary and preventative care services. The center provides adult medicine, adolescent medicine, HIV services- including primary care, case management, counseling and testing and support services, pediatric care services, reproductive health care, prenatal and postpartum care, immunizations, school check ups and social services. Like the other CHN centers and mobile units around the City, Downtown is increasingly becoming a one-stop, primary care facility for adults and children.
In a reflection of the client population, many of the staff at Downtown speak Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese. Materials distributed at the Center are available in English, Spanish and Chinese.
